Randy Green, President
1988-2026






Randy Green, President of RHG Phoenix Petroleum, was born in San Francisco. Randy’s family moved to Dallas when his father, Cornell Green, was signed by the Dallas Cowboys. During the 14-year football career, the family split time between San Francisco and Dallas. Upon graduation from high school, he returned to California to attend De Anza Junior College and San Jose State, majoring in Communications.
While Dan Reeves, a former teammate of his father, was head coach of the Denver Broncos, Randy attended training camp. Although he was released from the Broncos, the experience provided him with a personal growth experience. Randy learned the value of hard work, dedication, teamwork, and the ability to handle failure.
In 1988, Randy moved back to the Dallas area, where he was first introduced to the oil and gas business and has remained in the industry since that time. Randy is a father of a son Evan and two daughters-Tori, a nurse, and Tabitha, who has special needs.

EXPERIENCE/ACCOMPLISHMENTS
In 1992, Randy began his career in the oil and gas business. He spent the first six years learning the industry. The following two years, he worked for an operator. Beginning in 1997, Randy was the owner of RHG Phoenix Petroleum for eighteen years. While drilling mini wells, he gained valuable knowledge from geologists, engineers, and landmen.
In addition to the technical aspects, a large independent firm that concentrated on Bakken wells. During his six years with the company, he was involved in well over 350 wells with partners such as XTO, Continental, Whiting, Hess, and Kraken.
